Hypertensive emergency

A man comes rushing into the pharmacy the other night yelling: "I need blood pressure tablets!".

I calmly responded: "yeh which one sir? do you have a prescription?"

Him: "No but which ones do you have."

Me: "We've got many. Which one are you using?"

Him: I haven't used any before but which one is the best?

Me: You'll have to see the doctor then. The doctor will look at you and determine which one is the most suitable for you. There's so many different ones available so there is not one single blood pressure medicine for everyone.

Him: ok what's the best one to lower your blood pressure INSTANTLY?

Me: instantly? why instantly?

Him: My wife's blood pressure is 180/90.

Me: Oh then in that case, take her straight to the hospital. They will give something to her - possibly an injection to lower bp straight away.

Him: Yeh she's at the hospital right now! So there's nothing you can give me?

Me: So she's at the hospital? Why are you here then? The hospital will help her. Just go to the hospital. 

Him: Ok Thanks.

Some ppl are just weird. You don't get medicines from a pharmacy and go and give it to her whilst she's at a hospital. coz that's what a hospital is for. what's the point of taking her to a hospital, a medical facility with 24 hour doctors and nurses. maybe he though hospitals didn't have access to medications *shrugs*.
