Short attention span OR hearing disability?

Great start to the morning and the week.

A lady comes in with a script for Serc. Since it wasn't subsidised, I told her: "This medicine is NOT covered on pension card. Would you like to know the price before hand?" She totally ignores what I say, and pulls out a pension card. I JUST TOLD YOU it WASN'T covered, why are you showing me??!!

And then she doesn't tell me whether or not she wants it. She pulls out another paper that the dr wrote: Albalon A eye drops. She asked me: "How much is this?" So i drop everything and go over to the counter to, grab the eyedrop and tell her the price and also let her know its not covered on pension just in case she asks again. She's thinking whilst I'm still waiting for her reply for the Serc. I had to reask her again: "Did you still want the tablets?" She says yes so I'm dispensing it and then she barges in again and asked me for cough syrup so I directed her to our cough syrup section whilst i'm busy dispensing but then her grown up son pulls out Benadryl Dry Cough syrup and asked me is that one good.

Before I could do a symptom request and ask the appropriate questions, the lady (mother) decides she knows everything and answers the question: "No no not this one. This is for dry cough." and puts it back on the shelf. So I asked the guy what symptoms is he having, does he have phlegm etc..... and then you know what he said: "I've got a sore throat and a dry cough. No phlegm." Then I said, "Yes the one you were holding before is the right one." She grabs the Benadry Chesty Forte - which clearly is a different colour and it says in big bold letters CHESTY COUGH syrup - and says: "This one?" .... Me:"No that's for chesty cough. The one you were holding before - the green one."

And then when it came to payment time, I tell her the price loud and clear.... she wasn't paying attention to me again and reasked me the price, I just sighed and said "$44.40". She gives me a debit card and as I was processing it, she tells me its the wrong card. I had to cancel it. Man seriously some ppl should think before hand.... You say something loud and clear yet they have to reask you the second time. Why do I have to keep on repeating myself?
